Viking Advocates’ network of overseas agents is available to assist attorneys, particularly those in the immigration and family law fields, with document completion, acquisition, certification, and authentication.

Notably, we can provide on-the-ground assistance to persons who:

  1. Need to acquire documents from foreign authorities, including birth, death, or marriages certificates, court orders & judgments, or other documents needed to support proceedings in the United States,
  2. Need existing documents certified by those foreign authorities, or
  3. Require specific guidance to ensure proper completion of U.S. government forms.

Further, we can assist in the authentication/legalization process, to ensure that the foreign documents have legal effect in the United States. This process is substantially less arduous if the documents originate in a country that is signatory to the Hague Apostille Convention, but traditional legalization is also available.
